Hope's Victories IDA-Project Hope Helps Rescue Trapped Kitten
The rescuers called IDA-Project Hope Director Doll Stanley and, after several hours of effort, removed a manhole cover. Doll climbed down the manhole and carried the kitten, dubbed "Stormy," back up to safety. The small kitten was frightened but fortunately uninjured. Linda has adopted Stormy, who now enjoys playing with her other kitten. With so many animals in need, the happy story of one helpless cat who was rescued is heartening. What You Can Do 1) It's not every day that a group of individuals would give hours of their time to help an animal in distress. Please send a thank you letter to the following individuals who so generously worked into the night trying to rescue the helpless kitten: Johnny Blalock Dan Harod Peter Clay and David Seals Billy Halfacre 2) Help animals in need. Prepare an animal rescue kit to keep in your car in the event you come across a stray or lost animal. Your supply kit should include a leash, a collapsible carrier for cats or injured wildlife, a towel or blanket, and cans of cat food to lure frightened animals. Take caution when working with unfamiliar animals and call animal control to help with those who may be aggressive. Whether you help them yourself or call authorities for a hand, please don't ever turn your back on an animal on the street. Read more about previous Project Hope victories
