| A Diary of Hope
The week of July 21, 2000 Hello everyone. This one will have to be short. I have to go check out a hunting club pen and get to the feed store before they close. I basically told you that I am taking care of the nearly two-hundred animals and doing everything else too by myself. Went from a familiar nightmare to a twisted show. Last week I seized and rescued dogs. Six dogs so far this week. I am working a horse case, and squeezing the Minteers for a plea-bargain that will insure our keeping the dogs we rescued from them. I now care for seventy-one dogs. It is more than a challenge. I brought home 6 of last weeks rescues - Oxford has four, and you know the rest. The other pups and dogs were in such horrible shape that none of us had the space and time critical for their rehabilitation. Actually, some of them needed mercy. What can I say? pain? Yes. Feeling guilty? No. I am working to shelter horror camps, aiding people with missing and presumed stolen dogs, shootings, poisonings, and It's Mississippi. Why in the world people can't figure out they need to try to keep their dogs home is beyond me. I'm working a horse case where they have no water. They jump the fence of neighbors. I'm trying to pull all the working parts in on this one because the judge has dismissed atrocities before. Past diary entries July 3-7, 2000 |
